About Debby Price
For 30 years, I've had the privilege of walking alongside people through some of life's most difficult seasons.
My work has always been about people.
Throughout my career as a Registered Social Worker and as a counsellor, I've supported individuals, couples, and families across child protection, mental health, addiction, disability, family violence, and both hospital and community health settings. Every role has given me the privilege of hearing people's stories and witnessing both the challenges they carry and the remarkable resilience they possess.
Over the years, one question stayed with me.
Why do some people work incredibly hard to change, to understand themselves, and genuinely want something different… yet still find themselves returning to the same emotional patterns?
That question became the beginning of a much deeper journey.
Why Insight Alone Isn't Enough
As my career evolved, I realised that insight alone wasn't always enough.
Many of the people I worked with understood why they felt the way they did. They had gained insight, developed coping strategies, and worked hard in therapy. Yet something still felt unresolved.
I wanted to understand why.
That search led me to postgraduate study in Health Sciences, followed by training in Embodied Processing with The Centre for Healing, and later in Stevie Kent's Mind Shifting approach.
These experiences didn't replace what I'd already learned—they deepened and expanded it.
They helped me understand that many of the patterns that shape our lives exist beyond conscious thought, and that lasting change often comes from gently working with those deeper patterns rather than simply talking about them.
My Approach
I don't believe people are broken.
I don't believe lasting change has to come through endlessly reliving painful experiences.
And I don't believe healing should feel like something you have to force.
My role isn't to fix you.
It's to create a safe, compassionate space where you can gently explore what's been keeping you stuck and begin experiencing life differently.
Every person is unique. Every session is different.
Some people come wanting support with anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, or patterns they can't seem to break. Others simply know something doesn't feel right anymore.
Wherever you are, we'll begin there.
What Keeps Me Passionate
People often ask what keeps me passionate about this work after so many years.
The answer is simple.
I never stop being amazed by people's capacity for change.
I've seen people who felt trapped in the same patterns for decades discover new freedom, new hope, and a different way of living. Being invited into those moments is something I never take for granted.
Outside of my work, I value quiet moments, meaningful conversations, and time in nature. I believe healing often happens when we slow down enough to truly notice ourselves with curiosity rather than judgement.
